SEO Options

Super sites are built with SEO best practices in mind and come fully optimized out of the box.

Overview

Every Super site includes a range of built-in SEO optimizations to help your content get discovered by search engines and shared effectively on social platforms. These include:

  • Automatic sitemaps generated from the pages you publish in Super

  • Page titles pulled from your Notion page titles

  • Meta descriptions generated from the first Text, Quote, or H3 block on a page, or from a database page description

  • SEO images sourced from the Notion page cover

  • Site language detection

  • robots.txt support, allowing you to control search engine indexing

  • Open Graph (OG) tags for better social sharing previews

To allow search engines to index your site, make sure Search Engine Indexing is enabled in the Options page of the site editor.

Default SEO Settings

By default, Super automatically applies SEO settings based on your Notion content. These defaults will be used unless you manually override them.

  • SEO Title: Notion page title

  • SEO Description: First H3, text, or quote block on the page

  • SEO Image: Notion page cover

You can preview how these settings appear as meta tags using an SEO preview or meta tag testing tool.

Per-Page SEO Settings

Super also allows you to customize SEO and social sharing settings on a per-page basis.

You can override the default SEO values by clicking Edit SEO settings or the globe icon next to a page in the Pages section of the site editor. This is useful when you want more control over how individual pages appear in search results or on social media.
