Prevent Opening Database Items

Disable database item links across your site, preventing visitors from opening individual database pages with a single site-wide setting.

Written by Charlene

By default, database items (such as Gallery, Board, or List views) are clickable, allowing visitors to open the corresponding page.

If you'd prefer visitors to view the collection without being able to open individual items, you can disable this behavior in your collection settings.

When enabled, all database items across your site will no longer be clickable.

How to Enable It

  1. Open your site in the Super Dashboard.

  2. Go to the Options section.

  3. Find Prevent Opening Database Items.

  4. Enable the setting.

Once enabled, visitors will no longer be able to open any database items by clicking on them. The database views will remain visible, but all items will function as non-clickable content throughout your site.

Note: This is a site-wide setting and applies to all database items, not just a specific database or page.
