How to update your Super.so email and switch login methods (Google, Apple, or Email/Password)

Learn how to update your email address, switch between login methods (Google, Apple, or Email/Password), and troubleshoot common account access issues.

Reminder

  • Make sure you have access to your existing and new email addresses.

  • Decide if you want to switch your authentication provider.

How to change your login email address

If you signed up with a username + password wants to change your email

  1. Open your Super.so dashboard and click Account in the left sidebar.

  2. Go to the Preferences tab.

  3. Click the Edit icon to the far right of the “Email address” field.

  4. Enter your new email address when the pop-up modal appears.

  5. Save your changes.

Note: If there’s “an error occurred” shown when updating email, that means it is already linked to a Super account. Sometimes this can happen if you accidentally sign up using Google when trying to log in. Kindly contact Customer Support through chat bubble to remove the said account.

How to switch between Auth Provider Email to Sign-in With Google/Apple Sign-in

If you signed up with a username + password wants to change your log in to Google/Apple

  1. Open your Super.so dashboard and click Account in the left sidebar.

  2. Go to the Preferences tab.

  3. Click Sign in with Google/Apple ID

How to switch between authentication methods (Email, Google, Apple)

If you signed up with Google/Apple and want to switch to email/password

  1. Open your Super.so dashboard and click Account in the left sidebar.

  2. Go to the Preferences tab.

  3. Under Security, click Switch auth provider to Email.

  4. Enter your new password in the pop-up modal.

  5. Your account will now use email and password authentication, and you’ll no longer log in with Google or Apple

If you signed up with Google/Apple and want to change either of the two auth providers

  1. Open your Super.so dashboard and click Account in the left sidebar.

  2. Go to the Preferences tab.

  3. Under Security, click Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.

  4. Your account will switch to use Apple or Google as the authentication provider

Troubleshooting

  • Unable to log in?

    • Try signing in using Google/Apple ID

    • Try entering Email and Password

    • Password Reset Option

    • If the issue persists after trying all the methods above, contact super.so for support assistance.

  • Didn’t receive a verification email?

    Check your spam folder, and ensure your new address was entered correctly. Resend the verification if needed.

  • Lost access to your email, or your company changed its email domain?

    Use account recovery or contact support to restore access.

  • Use an email address you check regularly for account notifications.

  • Make changes via Preferences for highest reliability.

  • After switching providers or changing your email, test your login to confirm everything works.

  • Keep your account recovery information updated.
